October Report
It's October and time for us to get into the Full Swing of things.
We're excited to announce a few things that we have been working on behind the scenes.
The Most Important First - The Bar (And Shop)
The Bar is moving forward; it's being built off-site and is moving along nicely. The accompanying paperwork and permissions are also underway. Many people coming through have been asking about it, and we know this is something everyone is just as excited about as we are.
The second part of this is the shop that is going in the front. There has been progress on this, with our suppliers locked in, and just like the bar, construction has begun! We would like to let you know that our entrance and reception area will be seeing a lot of changes during this time.
We have got something special planned for the shop, which we are hoping will see a lot of new golfers picking up the sport as well as getting some upgraded putters and drivers into your hand, because, as any golfer knows, that slice can very easily be fixed with a new driver, and a new putter would never miss that putt!
Let the Games Begin
The next order of business is our Tournaments, and the first one we want to go over is the Master of the Month. This is both a Stableford & Stroke play tournament with a winner in each category. We are going to be running these every month and in 12 months time we will have our 12 winners in each Category. While that is taking place, we will be hosting our Best of the Best Tournament. This will only be open to winners of a Monthly round, the best part is you can have as many rounds as as it takes to get to the top.
There's only one way to secure your spot in this Tournament.
This month the course is the amazing Tiger Woods Payne Valley, something that has become a favourite.

Events in the Pipeline
This is where we would like to go over some other events we are working on, and the first of these is The Tradie Cup. This will be Teams of four, entered under their business name competing against other businesses here in Kerikeri and the wider Far North.
It will run over six weeks on Thursday nights from 6pm - 10pm, and will be a 2v2 scramble format with players on each team alternating. There will be prizes for overall winners, weekly prizes and some interesting spot prizes on the nights. There will also be a Floating Trophy that will stay with the winning team, nicely on display at the office until the next Tradie Cup.
There will only be space for eight Teams for the first tournament, so if you're interested, get your team together and let us know to get your names on the list.
Friday Shambles
The last event we are looking at running will be a social Friday Shambles tournament. Opposite of a Scramble, this time its the worst ball instead of the best. Come through with your mates, and see who the winner is on the night between everyone in a slightly structured but fun Friday night.
